Human Sagar: A Life in Melody & Memory

It is true the actor and actress make audiences happy by acting, dancing and dialogues, but singers are the one who plays an important role in communicating those feelings with the audience by their singing. There are so many talented singers in the Odia film industry with unique voices, and Human Sagar was one the finest singers among them. He was popularly known as Odisha’s Arijit Singh for his lovely romantic voice.

Early Life

Human Sagar was born on 25th November 1990, in Titlagarh city of Balangir district of Odisha. He belongs to a family of the musical fraternity where two generations of family members had already associated with the music. That is one of the reasons Humane started his singing at the early age of eight. From there, he participated in so many singing competitions in his school, colleges, and many other competitions within the state. Most of the time, he got first prizes.

During college time, he was always in the limelight among his friend circle because of his voice and singing talent. He used to imitate the voice of many Bollywood singers like Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Babul Supriyo, Sanu Nigam and many others. Even still, he is good in that, especially with Arijit Singh’s voice. If you observe his songs, you will find how he easily adopted the style of Arijit in singing in some of his songs.

Life Until His First Break In Singing

Despite his singing talent, Humane Sagar was also a bright student in his studies. After his college, he cracked the medical entrance with good numbers and later pursued MBBS. While pursuing the MBBS, he felt it was not his destination, so he dropped that in the first year. At that time, Humane’s parents were worried by thinking about his future and career. However, he had enough singing skills, which helped him stay with his decision to pursue the singing profession despite several odds.

An Inspiring Breakup Story

After dropout from MBBS, Human Sagar had gone through a bad phase in his life while staying at his home in Titlagarh. A girl was there in his life whom he loved so much, one day she left him, and that incident hurt him so badly.

While sharing his memories in an interview, he said, – “ That was a tough phase of my life. My whole family members surrounded me, but still, I felt the emptiness from the inside of my heart. That made me depressed for a certain time, and no one was able to understand that pain. One day, my elder brother encouraged me to focus more on my passion than on other things. He suggested that I should move to another city and do something great in life. Those words of my brother motivated me and I sifted Cuttack and from there, the rest is history.”

His Unique Love Story

After going through a struggling phase for a certain time in Cuttack, finally, he got a chance to participate in a singing reality TV show called Voice Of Odisha of season 2 on Tarang TV in 2012. In that show, a girl named Shriya Mishra also participated as one of his co-contestants. They both became good friends during that season, but before some of the final stages, Shriya got eliminated from the show.

Though they both were good friends, on the day of the finale, Shriya came to support Human Sagar. In an interview Humane has shared – “On the final day I was quite nervous but Shriya encouraged me by saying, don’t worry, you will win today and that motivated me throughout the day. But when my name was announced as the winner that moment she was not there, and that time I missed her so much and realised she was not just a friend in my life but something else”.

Two days after the final of Voice of Odisha, Humane called her and informed about the result, and from there, their love life began.
