Rabandhara Nature Camp is situated at Bhatangpadar, just 10 kilometers from Bhawanipatna town, and a mere 4 kilometers from the Rabandhara Waterfall. It’s surrounded by dense forests and overlooks the amazing lake, streams, making it a perfect escape from the busy life.

While travelling from Bhawanipatna town to eco tourism nature camp, you will cross Maa Manikeswari Temple, Stadium Square and the weekly market road.

While talking about the accommodation facilities like, rooms, food quality, the staff and their behaviour in the eco resort add exceptional value to visitor’s experiences.

The Nature Camp Rooms and Its Surroundings

Rabandhara Nature Camp features cottage-style four air-conditioned rooms with names Bramhani, Gundi, Alama, Urladani. These cottages are thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable stay while blending harmoniously with the surrounding landscape.

Each cottage is equipped with modern amenities, ensuring that guests have a quality experience. A large bed, television set, 24*7 power and hot water supply provided.

The rooms are designed for two people or in case you have a family of two people with a child below the age of 5 then also it will be manageable. But in case if you have an extra member with you then they will charge some extra amount and will give you an extra bed.

You will enjoy the stunning view of the water reservoir from the balcony. In Front of the rooms, you will find a park filled with green grasses, a garden, different flowers, a variety of plants and many more.

Food Facilities in The Camp

The dining area at the camp offers delicious Odia foods, covering lunch, dinner, snacks for evening and breakfast in the morning. The camp food facilitates both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options in their menus.

The meals are freshly prepared using locally sourced ingredients, allowing visitors to savor the authentic flavors of the region. About the taste of food I can say, you might feel the warmth of homemade food. Because the food is prepared by some local ladies from the SHG community. 

Staff and Their Behaviour

Here, people are recruited from the local community to Manage the premises, like cleaning, fooding services, guide to visitors, and security etc. All these things function under the guidance by the forest officer and their seniors of that forest division.

All the staff behaves very well. They always try their best to give good services to each and every visitor in the camp.

I highly recommend that you should spend some time on the top floor in the evening or morning hours. There you will see the view of a beautiful water reservoir surrounded by gigantic mountains that seem like covered with nature’s green blanket and talking with floating clouds. 

The scenic view and the experience while having a cup of hot tea or coffee in hand will give you an amazing moment. You must try to capture some of your photos and you will get amazing shots from there.

How to Reach Rabandhara Eco Tourism Center

By Road

The Bhawanipatna town is well-connected by road to major cities in Odisha. From the town, you can also take local transport or hire a vehicle to reach the eco resort.

But you don’t need to worry. Though you have already booked, the eco resort authority provides complimentary pickup services from the Bhawanipatna railway station or bus stop.

By Train

The closest railway station is Bhawanipatna, only 13 kilometers from the camp, making it a convenient option for travelers.

By Air

The nearest airport is Raipur, which is about 260 kilometers away. Bhubaneswar Biju Patnaik International Airport is another option, located approximately 460 kilometers from the camp.

Best Time to Visit

The ideal time to visit Rabandhara Nature Camp is between October and January. During these months, the weather is pleasant, and the natural beauty of the region is at its peak. The monsoon season enhances the greenery and  keeps water level full in the water reservoir which is the key point of this eco resort.

Because at the end of January the reserved water opened for the local farmers. So the water level decreases. But anyway you can visit this eco lodge any time in the year except the summer, It will give you a piece of happiness every time.

Some Useful Information For Visitors

  • The booking suit for 2 adults or including a child below the age of 4 years will cost 4000 (tax not included) for one day.
  • The check-in time is after 12:00 pm and the check-out time is 10:00 am.
  • The visitor has to take a print copy of accommodation booking and entry ticket along with an identity proof.
  •  Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are complementary and limited to the number of person named in the ticket.
  • The pickup service from Bhawanipatna railway station or from the city bus stop is complementary included in the 4000 booking price, you will not charge anything for that.
  • If you have another person with you then you have to pay some extra amount (1000 rupees only) for that person and they will provide you one extra bed to adjust in that same room. 
  • The ‘Jungle Safari’ service is also offered by the eco tourism department with an additional cost of 3000 rupees (No extra changes required). The service just adds a little more comfort to your traveling journey from one place to another.
  • You have to report at the entry point 30 minutes prior to ‘Jungle Safari’ time. It will cover Rabandhara Waterfall, Phurlijharan Waterfall, Karlapat Wildlife Sanctuary, and Manikeswari Temple.

The Tarini Temple is situated at Kushadangiri, which is very close to Bhawanipartna city. You will find this temple on the way from Bhawanipatna to Rabandhar road.

Phurlijharan Waterfall

Located 28 kilometers away, this amazing waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery and is a popular picnic destination in the region.
